Cyprus-born Vasilis Loizides is a New York-based fashion designer with a stranger-than-fiction outlook on the world around us. After being forced to serve in the Cypriot military, he moved to New York to study Fashion Design at Parsons School of Design. Outside the classroom, Loizides spent his free time working for various designers including Marc Jacobs and Nicola Formichetti. Creating an ongoing, creative conversation, the collections confront issues connected to gender performance, minority representation, and the human experience at large. Set against a unique allegorical narrative, each collection celebrates the twisted, mysterious, and often surreal truth that exists between expectations and reality.
